Boss Battle 1 : Freeing the Dog Paladin

Step by Step Structure:

  1. Level Opening

  2. Player Moves into Arena

  3. Player loses control and Camera moves by itself to the boss.

  4. Door Closes Behind them. The Boss Entity blocks forward progress.

  5. Camera is fixed to the arena for the duration of the boss battle.

  6. Battle starts.

  7. Battle finishes. Boss battle defeat animation plays. Trapped prisoner remains.

  8. Player gets control and Camera back. Player approaches prisoner.

  9. A Freeing the prisoner minigame plays.

  10. Prisoner is freed and returned to village.

  11. Player proceed to leave the floor.

Boss Description:

  • The boss is a collection of tentacles that’s controlled by an anthropromortized form. In the center of the collection the Paladin prisoner is being held and teased.

  • Tentacle clusters appear out of grates in the floor and swipe around to attack the player.

  • The player has to attack these clusters to reduce the bosses health.

  • The boss should have 3 attack patterns in total.

In Level Objects:

  • Sealing Door

    • Animator = Closed, opening, open.

  • Custom Camera Object

  • Boss Battle Playmaker Logic

  • Enemy Boss Object:

    • Animator = Intro Animation, Idle, Attacking, Taking Damage, Defeated

  • Enemy Attack Objects:

    • Animator = Hiding, Exposed, Attacking, Taking Damage, Defeated

  • Prisoner Object:

    • Appears after the boss is defeated.

    • Still bound in tentacles. Is freed after the minigame interaction with player.

  • Prisoner Freeing Minigame Screen.
